The Java-Direct3D wrapper "jdw" is a Java class library providing features for creating 3D applications. Runs on Windows XP (32 and 64 bit) and requires version 5 of the JDK. The Direct3D library is used internally.


This project is in its early stages and features are being added regularly.
  • Rendering 3D scenes within a java.awt.Canvas
  • Applying lighting and textures
  • Loading meshes from .X files
